Step-by-step guide to install OS on your VPS.

Before You Start

Requirements Checklist

  • ✅ WINUX account with verified email
  • ✅ At least 1 quota in balance
  • ✅ VPS meeting requirements
  • ✅ VPS login credentials ready

VPS Requirements

  • RAM: Minimum 2GB (4GB+ recommended for Windows Server)
  • Disk Space: Minimum 30GB free
  • Virtualization: KVM or compatible
  • Architecture: x86_64 (ARM64 experimental)
  • Access: Root password authentication
  • OS: Ubuntu or Debian (any version, will be replaced)

Installation Methods

Choose your preferred method:

Method 1: Website Dashboard

  1. Login

  2. Start New Installation

    • Click "Installations" → "New Installation"
    • Or use dashboard quick button
  3. Fill Installation Form

    VPS IP Address

    • Your server's IP
    • Example: 192.168.1.100

    SSH Port

    • Default: 22
    • Change if using custom port

    VPS Password

    • Root password for SSH access
    • Required for installation

    Operating System

    • Choose from dropdown
    • Windows or Linux options

    RDP Password (Windows only)

    • Your future Windows Administrator password
    • Minimum 8 characters
    • Must include: uppercase, lowercase, number, symbol
    • Example: MyWindows123!
  4. Confirm & Install

    • Review details
    • Click "Install Now"
    • Uses 1 quota
  5. Monitor Progress

    • Real-time status updates
    • Progress percentage
    • Installation logs
    • Estimated time remaining

Method 2: Telegram Bot

  1. Login to Bot

    /login username password
  2. Check OS Options

    /oslist
  3. Run Installation

    /install ip password os_code rdp_password

    Example:

    /install 192.168.1.100 vpsroot123 w10pro MyWindows123!
  4. Track Progress

    • Bot sends status updates
    • Completion notification

  • Use: Professional

Windows Server

  • Use: Production servers

Installation Process

What Happens

  1. Preparation (1-2 min)

    • Connect to VPS
    • Verify access
    • Check requirements
  2. Download (3-5 min)

    • Fetch OS image
    • Prepare installation
  3. Installation (5-8 min)

    • Install OS
    • Configure settings
    • Set passwords
  4. Finalization (1-2 min)

    • Configure network
    • Enable RDP
    • Cleanup

After Installation

Connecting to Windows

  1. Open Remote Desktop

    • Windows: Built-in RDP
    • Mac: Microsoft Remote Desktop
    • Mobile: RD Client app
  2. Connection Details

    • Address: Your VPS IP
    • Port: 22 (not 3389)
    • Username: Administrator
    • Password: Your RDP password

    Note: WINUX uses port 22 for RDP to ensure compatibility with all VPS providers.

  3. First Login

    • Accept certificate
    • Wait for desktop
    • Windows is ready!

Initial Setup

Recommended First Steps:

  1. Windows Updates
  2. Change timezone
  3. Install antivirus
  4. Configure firewall
  5. Create backup

Optional Setup:

  • Install browsers
  • Add software
  • Configure network
  • Create users

Troubleshooting

Installation Failed

Common Causes:

  • Wrong VPS password
  • VPS not meeting requirements
  • Network issues
  • Unsupported virtualization

What to Do:

  1. Check error message
  2. Verify VPS details
  3. Quota auto-refunded
  4. Try again or contact support

Cannot Connect After Install

Check These:

  • Correct IP address?
  • Port 22 accessible?
  • Using "Administrator" username?
  • Correct RDP password?
  • VPS still running?

Solutions:

  • Restart VPS from provider panel
  • Check firewall rules
  • Wait 2-3 minutes
  • Try different RDP client

Slow Installation

Normal Times:

  • Average: 10-15 minutes
  • Maximum: 30 minutes
